Starting Out Strong Family Support System of Care
The Alameda County Public Health Department - Starting Out Strong Family Support System of Care provides services to individuals experiencing pregnancy, fathers, those who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss, and families with newborns and young children.
Starting Out Strong Family Support System of Care offers:
- One-on-one services and support
- Education on prenatal, postpartum, newborn care and child development
- Virtual support and social empowerment groups
- Mental wellness information and support
- Health information including family planning, and pregnancy and abortion counseling
- Connection to community resources, health care providers, and health insurance
- Advocacy for you and your family during court appearances, social service visits, and health appointments
